Ok so this one was actually written last night. I'm not sure I have the will power or even ability to write a poem everyday :-) Plus I have a backlog of poems to get through! Here it is - it's dedicated to my other half.
Sunday Night
Sunday night
quietly disengaged
from my long entaglement
with my screen
softend with
two cups of tea
reluctantly my tired eyes
engulf you, forgotten
but soon massaged
into a locked ball
of what we are
ouside my window
the geese chir-chiruhonk
their claxon clatter calls
calling caterwauls
To mate, to mate
but warmth and darkness
clothe me, naked,
tangled to you, nestled,
clinging cloth to
my round belly soft
Soon your heavy breathing
smouldering ashen embers
softens my window
toasts the curtains
draws me closer in.
Darkness falls.
All that’s left
eminates from you,
encompasses you
My reassuring
white night light.
Stretched out,
warm through
worn true,
I remember you
and feel you.
